Q: HOW EASY IS SETUP?
A: Our cameras are strictly plug and play and will auto configure to our cloud.
Q: DO I NEED A SERVER OR WORKSTATION?
A: No unless you want to view from a computer. Unlike other video surveillance products there is no need for servers, workstations, DVR's, NVR's or any other complicated hardware.
Q: DO I NEED TO CONFIGURE ANYTHING ON MY ROUTER?
A: No. Once your camera auto configures there's nothing you need to do with your router ever.
Q: CAN I SETUP MY CAMERA ANYWHERE?
A: Before setting up a camera, we strongly advise to check your local laws on camera surveillance.
Q: CAN I MOVE THE CAMERA AROUND?
A: Yes once it's configured you can move it anytime.. anywhere without the hassle of reprogramming. Change school rooms, office locations, moving to a new home or if your traveling bring it with you. Just plug it in and it will auto configure to our cloud. It's that easy!
Q: DO I NEED HIGH SPEED INTERNET SERVICE?
A: Yes.. basic dsl/modem are sufficient. Since all video recordings are sent to the cloud where its archived for live and recorded playback. We will in the future offer a mobile device as an alternative to internet service.
Q: HOW MUCH BANDWIDTH DOES THE CAMERA NEED?
A: It averages out to about 100kbit/s per camera.
Q: HOW MANY CAMERAS CAN I HAVE ON MY ACCOUNT?
A: Most high speed internet connections can accomodate between 4-16 cameras per account. You can have multiple accounts for multi building use. CLICK HERE to test your internet speed. Then send us the results and we can assist with your design.
Q: ANY ADDITIONAL HARDWARE BESIDES THE CAMERA AND POE ?
A: Yes.. Cat5 cables. They can be purchased at any home improvement stores in bulk or set lengths or you can send us measurement requirements and we can cut and terminate the cables for a nominal fee
Q: CAN I USE ANY CAMERA BESIDES AXIS?
A: Not at this time. We've debated over other manufacturers before launching. We wanted to offer the highest commercial grade cameras with the widest selection that would fit each and every budget or project without any additional hardware.
Q: WHAT OTHER AXIS CAMERA MODELS DO YOU OFFER?
A: We offer the whole line of Axis cameras CLICK HERE, we've rounded down to models that were the most popular when we tested the market due to price, quality and features. With that said contact us for a quick quote for any other models you maybe interested in.
Q: ARE IPHONE AND ANDROID APP INCLUDED?
A: Yes a link will be sent to you upon purchase. There is NO COST for the apps.
Q: ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR SOFTWARE UPGRADES?
A: No.. We do not charge for any software upgrades.
Q: SINCE IT'S STREAMING AND RECORDING FROM THE CLOUD IS THERE A MONTHLY COST?
A: Yes depending on the cloud storage options. Pricing is under the equipment tab.
Q: WHAT IS EDGE STORAGE?
A: Locally record on an SD card or Network Attached Storage for local back up and archiving.
Q: HOW RELIABLE AND SECURE IS MY VIDEO CLOUD?
A: Extremely reliable. My Video Cloud has taken safety measures to make sure your data is safe and secure. No one has access to your data except your user account. Our cloud servers are in highly secured and redundant locations.
